About TEDx

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx - where x means an independently organized TED event. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. The TED conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, like ours, are self-organized.

Started as a four-day conference in California 26 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives.
